Popular World of Warcraft database site Wowhead has unveiled what it's claiming to be an official (and rather gigantic) Blizzard ad that reveals the official Wrath of the Lich King release date: Thursday, November 13. To celebrate, Wowhead is raffling off 10 beta keys. Though we know the expansion is due in Q4 2008,

While no official release date has been announced yet for Diablo 3, there has been much speculation to a potential “ball park” figure on the launch date for the much anticipated title. Needless to say, it’s going to be a big year with as many releases as blizzard has planned for the near future.
A recent leak from Blizzard’s parent company, Vivendi revealed that the newest World of Warcraft expansion is due sometime in the fall of 2008. In addition, Starcraft II is also due out around Christmas.

Well I spent a late night last night modifying our current theme into Clan Beowulf colors. As you may have noticed, the biggest flaw so far is the forums. I "thought" I changed the forum theme too, but um it's still light green. I'm sure that's a config file in the theme somewhere. More combing though code for me.

| Oz's Closet running Quake 3 again |

I received a call from my best buddy's son this last week about assistance in setting up Quake 3. Heck ya I'll help! I remoted into his computer and setup his Quake 3, updated it and slapped on all the Beowulf characters. Remember all those skins we made of ourselves? Ah the good old days. Anyway, they were just playing head to head, locally, LAN style. Well good for you, but how do I get in on the action?

If you haven't visited Clan Beowulf this weekend, you probably missed all the drama. I've been changing themes, tables in databases, entire databases, html files and so much more. Things are finally starting to settle down.
We can all thank Link for starting all of this. When you get a chance email Link and give him thanks. Link is taking the reigns of this huge website. It's no small task (I know). So kudos to him.

| SP1 for Microsoft Flight Simulator X |
|

Usually service packs are just bug fixes. However, Microsoft has really put a lot of effort and resources into this much anticipated update to the most popular flight sim in the world. While some users of SP1 are experiencing some random crashes, others report performance gains of 20 to 30%. Count me in the latter group. My FSX runs silky now with most everything cranked. That may not seem like a big deal for an SLI rig, but keep in mind FSX is more CPU dependent. SP1 uses the second core more efficiently now. See Phil Taylor's Blog on the Read More. Phil is lead programmer at MS's ACES studio. Get SP1 on the official MS FSX website - Chip

| MS Flight Simulator X Adrenaline Pack Announced |
|

I appreciate the fact they're releasing the Service Pack in April instead of waiting until Fall to release with the Adrenaline pack. Microsoft Flight Simulator X is a resource gorilla. I'm not sure there's a PC beefy enough to turn all settings "High" and get acceptable frame rates. DirectX 10 in Vista will help a lot with this. - Chip
