Link's Linux
Posted on Saturday, November 29, 2008 @ 16:47:11 MST by Link
LinuxSo, Recently i've been trying to make Ubuntu 8.04 and 8.10 usable for my grandmother who is "Computer Illiterate" I thought at first, i'd just use Kiba-Block, or a *ewwww* Mac OSX theme.  Either way, I just didn't see it working for her. It's a tiny little sylvania Netbook, Teaching new things to old people, is there anything more challenging? Either way, I stumbled accross Gos, An operating system i still don't fully understand, but it appears to be a google-xp-ubuntu based OS...HOW!!!! I was trying to understand how someone could do it....It's been done, the new beta v.3.0 is really amazing, I had to run the iso (697mb) to a flash seeing as the netbook isn't big enough for a cd drive. Installed in about 10 minutes, run's, operates, easy setup, Vista like desktop gadgets, with the default 10gb hd in the Sylvania netbook, it took up 2k mb for the ENTIRE os...anyone noticed the vista default install (IE without using a preboot vlite edition) it's around 6-7 gb's...

works on systems as low end as a 350 MHz Pentium II with 196MB Ram.[3] But a typical gOS system would use as a minimum a 1 GHz Pentium III with 256MB RAM.

Although the races that can become Death knights have not been determined it will be made available to both alliance and horde; The third way is to get hit capped. You should know what your hit cap wow power leveling [www.wowpowerleveling.me] is and get as close as you can to it if you're going to raid. Hit rating is the single best stat you can have until you reach the cap. It doesn't matter how much wow gold [www.wowgold-wow.com] spell power or attack power you've got when the boss you are fighting dodges your attack. The fourth way is to learn your rotations. Once you find a good spec, you should spend some time learning what all of your talents do, so you can see which abilities work together the best. The order in which you use, your abilities will wow power leveling [www.wowpowerleveling.me] make a great difference in your DPS output. If you are a balance Druid, for example, a good rotation is Moonfire, Insect Swarm, Faerie Fire, and then a few Starfalls. wedding dresses [www.trendress.com] The fifth way is enchants and glyphs. You should get the best glyphs for your class or spec. If wyhjzhwhi you're not sure which ones they are, do a little research and find wow power leveling [www.wowpowerleveling.me] out what your options are. You should also make sure that all of your gear has appropriate enchants, leg armor, belt buckle and gems.
