One of the problems of having dedicated servers run by the game maker is they determine when the server should be shut down. Apparently the cost of running quality servers is having an impact. It's expected servers will be shut down at some time but read on for the shocking list of recent titles that will be shut down. On another note, why wouldn't you just scale down the number of servers to accommodate demand or lack thereof?
