| Flying V Guitar Hero Controller |

Guitar Hero fans put your axe down and check it. TAC, the makers of the only third pary controllers for Guitar Hero will be releasing their version of the Gibson Flying V. It appears the TAC Flying V will have a longer neck than their previous controller, the Shredder. I personally hope the buttons have a better feel to them too. The Shredder's buttons seemed mushy to me. TAC claims to have the new Flying V with a wireless option too. Are you listening Annon?

Since Half-Life 2 made physics cool, we've heard whispers of a small start-up company, Ageia, developing a Physics Processing Unit (PPU). Our dreams of accellerated physics have come true, or have they? Hot Hardware puts the first Ageia PhysX card to the test. With only two hardware manufacturers making the Ageia PhysX, see if Asus and BFT Tech are in for boon or bust.

My Internet went whack on me today. It was sporadic and seemed to have forgotten how to bring me lovely webpages. Strangely enough, IRC and POP/SMTP worked fine. Doesn't sound like a cablemodem issue does it?

| John Carmack's .plan on NV30 vs R300 |

So you you're a diehard "X"card fanboy. As John Carmack points out in this .plan, the choice of hardware isn't so clear cut. From what I can surmise, the upcoming PCI Express GeForces should really rock with SLI...especially when NVidia gets their drivers tweaked.

Reuters is reporting that ICANN has officially lauched IPv6 on it's root servers. In case you are wondering, this is a pretty big deal.
Vinton Cerf of the Internet Corp. for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) said the next-generation protocol, IPv6, had been added to its root server systems, making it possible for every person or device to have an Internet protocol address.
...
Cerf said about two-thirds of the 4.3 billion Internet addresses currently available were used up, adding that IPv6 could magnify capacity by some "25,000 trillion trillion times."
He said the IPv6 system would run parallel to IPv4 for about 20 years to ensure that any bugs or system errors were weeded out.
